Hello and welcome to The Home Ed Hub. I want to start by sharing a little about myself, what I do, and why I created this space. If you are exploring home education or looking to create your own alternative provision or tutor business, you are in the right place!

I’m Chloe, a qualified teacher with over 12 years of experience. Throughout my career, I have worked with many children, each with their own learning styles and challenges. One thing has always been clear: no single approach fits every child. This belief inspired me to create The Home Ed Hub, a place where home ed can be flexible, personal, and supportive.

Hi - I am Chloe! :)

Why I Created The Home Ed Hub

The traditional education system works fort some, but it doesn’t suit all children. Some thrive in a classroom, while others need a different pace or style. I saw a need for an education provider that offers an alternative provision, one that respects each child’s individuality.

The Home Ed Hub is designed to support children in a calmer, more flexible way. Here, learning adapts to the child, not the other way around. Relationships matter deeply, and education is about nurturing the whole child, not just ticking boxes or meeting rigid standards.

I work as a tutor and teacher across a range of subjects including English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, and Art. For some children, this means catching up on key skills. For others, it’s about rebuilding confidence or finding joy in learning again. The goal is always to meet children where they are and help them move forward at their own pace.

How I Support Children and Families

Every child who comes to The Home Ed Hub has a unique story. Some are already thriving in home education but want extra support in certain areas. Others need a gentler approach to learning, with creativity and flexibility at the core.

Here are some ways I tailor support:

  • Breaking learning into small, manageable steps for children who find traditional lessons overwhelming.

  • Using creative methods like storytelling, art, and hands-on activities to engage children who struggle with conventional teaching.

  • Building confidence by celebrating progress, no matter how small, and encouraging a positive attitude towards learning.

  • Flexible scheduling to fit around family life and the child’s natural rhythms.

  • Supporting a wide range of subjects to keep learning broad and interesting.

This approach helps children feel valued and understood. It also supports families by providing practical, realistic strategies that work in a home ed setting.

What Makes The Home Ed Hub Different

I believe education should be about connection, flexibility, and respect for each child’s pace and personality.

This means:

  • Personalised learning plans that reflect the child’s interests and needs.

  • A calm and supportive environment that reduces pressure and anxiety.

  • Open communication with families to ensure everyone feels involved and supported.

  • Encouraging curiosity and creativity rather than just memorising facts.

  • Adapting methods as the child grows and changes.

By focusing on these values, The Home Ed Hub offers a genuine alternative provision for families seeking something beyond the traditional classroom or rigid home ed programs.

Supporting Tutors and Home Ed Providers

Alongside working with children, I also support teachers, tutors, and home education providers across England who want to build something of their own. This has become a really important part of The Home Ed Hub.

There are so many incredible educators out there who want to step outside of mainstream teaching, create a more flexible way of working, or start their own tutoring or home education business but often they are unsure where to begin.

Through The Home Ed Hub, I support other educators with the process of getting started, building their offer, understanding the legal side, finding families, and growing a business that feels both sustainable and enjoyable. I also work to promote tutors and providers through the wider Home Ed Hub network, helping families connect with support in different locations across England.

For me, this is about more than business. It is about helping create a wider network of caring, capable educators who are offering children something different.

What I want The Home Ed Hub to be

I want The Home Ed Hub to be a place that feels supportive, encouraging, and full of possibility.

A place where families can find help.

A place where children can be supported in a way that works for them.

A place where tutors and providers can feel less alone as they build something meaningful.

A place where education can look a little more personal, flexible, and human.

This blog will be a space where I share more about home education, tutoring, learning ideas, guidance, updates, and the behind-the-scenes reality of building this kind of work.

So whether you are a parent, a tutor, a fellow educator, or someone simply curious about what The Home Ed Hub is all about: welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
